WHY TLC?
The Teen Leadership Corps program provides:
- Compliance with all Federal Service Learning Standards
- Provides reinforcement of over 40 Ohio Standards – cross curricular / cross district
- Provides direct services to schools – Teacher training and program structure,collaborative service with existing service agencies, comprehensive curriculum and full funding of school and community service projects.
- Prepares future generations for a lifelong commitment to service
Service-Learning Offers Community-Based Service Agencies:
- Added resources and increased capacity for meeting the organizations mission
- County wide clothing drive in all TLC participant schools for Goodwill Industries
- TLC students serve as mentors for Big Brothers / Big Sisters
- TLC students serve as positive role models / volunteers at Boys and Girls Club
- TLC students develop meaningful relationships with our senior population
- Special service project liaisons for non-profit and corporate business partners

- High school students bring enthusiasm and energy to adult community
